Colophon

The name Meridies comes from the Latin term for Midday (medius dies).

Meridies logo, a circle with a dot inside, rapresents a sundial, a simple timekeeping device in which the shadow cast by a vertical pole or plate is used to indicate the time of day. The same sign has also been used by Isaac Newton as the alchemic symbol of gold or to depict the sun.

The font used for the text Meridies Holding is CopperPlate Gothic Light designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1901.

The image in the home page is a two-dimensional bar code containing information about the company's address, telephone numbers and web site.
